To paraphrase Geoffrey Chaucer, all good things must come to an end. So it is with our live, on-site dining etiquette and restaurant service training. As of late 2022, we'll no longer be offering these services.

But don't despair -- we still have your training needs covered! We'll continue to make our training materials available on our site, at Booklocker.com and through all major retail and online booksellers. You'll find our books and supplemental materials here.

We'll also be putting new focus on our "mystery diner" services. Please be sure to contact us if you're interested in our 200-points-of-contact secret shopper program. We'll be adding more info on that to our site soon.

As we bring this chapter of EATiQuette to a close, we have many people and organizations to thank for their support over the last 30-plus years.

  • Chef Vincent Guerithault, Leevon Guerithault and the staff at Vincent's on Camelback in Phoenix for allowing us to host our high school dining etiquette workshop lunches at your exceptional restaurant for nearly 20 years.
  • The Yuma Union High School Career & Technical Education Department administrators, staff and instructors who've supported both our dining etiquette and table service training programs for so many years.
  • A big shout out to Mrs. Bonnie "Mac" Irvine McNamara, French Instructor with the Chandler Unified School District, who holds the record for most groups participating in our dining etiquette workshop lunches.
  • The Pascua Yaqui Tribe, Casino del Sol and Casino of the Sun in Tucson -- and, specifically, Director Of Organizational Development Marcus Diaz -- were not only one of our first and long-time casino clients, but worked with us back in our company's infancy to develop our certificated waitstaff training program.
  • Yakama Legends Casino in Toppenish, WA brought us back time-after-time to refresh their staff's skills even in the days when they only operated a buffet and small cafe.

We'll occasionally post our "tip pool" restaurant service tips and our vintage dining etiquette "tip-of-the-month" on both this site and our Facebook page. Be sure to check back occasionally for the latest tips.

Also be sure to browse the many articles written about EATiQuette over the years as well as articles we've written about restaurant service.

Thanks for visiting our site. Thanks, too, to the many servers, bussers, hosts, supervisors and managers at the restaurants, hotels, resorts, casinos and clubs we've worked with over the years to bring EATiQuette-style professional food and beverage service to your diners. Much future success to all in the industry!

Here's how instructors and presenters are using our dining etiquette and restaurant service training materials:

Madison ("Ms. Maddi") Milburn, middle school teacher at The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students Peoria, AZ campus presented dining etiquette lessons in which she and her staff helped teach their middle schoolers how to interact with each other appropriately in a dining setting, how to identify different pieces of their place setting, what to expect from a waiter/waitress, and much more. She says that, in addition to the EATiQuette curriculum, the students learned how to tie a tie and the appropriate attire for a variety of events. The training culminated in a lunch to give the students a chance to practice what they learned. "We cannot thank you enough from all of these students and our staff for empowering and engaging these students week after week with every lesson," Ms. Maddi wrote following the group's training and lunch.

Mrs. Tamara Kay, Career & Technical Education Instructional Leader for Yuma Union High School District is using EATiQuette dining etiquette and restaurant service training materials to develop new presentations for the District's CTE programs. She'll continue to hold the CTE Ambassadors dining etiquette workshop luncheon (which we previously presented for many years) and will work with the District's Culinary Arts instructors and classes to train them in restaurant table service.

We'd love it if you'd share how you've used our dining etiquette or service training materials, too.
